Falcarindiol (FAD, (3R,8S)-Falcarindiol, FaDOH) 是一种天然的聚乙炔化合物，存在于伞形科的许多植物中。Falcarindiol 可抑制LPS刺激的 inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS)、tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα)、interleukin-6 (IL-6) 和 interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) 的表达。Falcarindiol 可减弱LPS诱导的 JNK、ERK、STAT1 和 STAT3 信号分子的激活。Falnidamol 是一种具有抗癌活性的嘧啶嘧啶类化合物。

用途 

Falcarindiol was isolated as an algicidal principle against the harmful red tide dinoflagellate, Heterocapsa circularisquama, from Notopterygii Rhizoma through bioassay-guided separation.To determine the ambiguous absolute structure of this active principle, all three stereoisomers as well as falcarindiol were synthesized. 聽As a result of intensive analytical of their physicochemical properties, t he configuration of Falcarinfiol was revealed to be 3R,8S. 聽(3S,8S)- and (3S,8R)-isomers were found to exhibit more potent algicidal activity than (3R,8S)-Falcarindiol isolated from Notopterygii Rhizo ma.
