环丙乙炔是抗艾滋病特效药物依法韦仑（Efavirenz）的关键中间体。依法韦仑是一种非核苷逆转录酶抑制剂，可用于高活性抗逆转录病毒疗法中使用，进而医治甲类人体免疫性病毒HIVTypeI。

用途
Cyclopropylacetylene is used in a variety of chemical reactions in organic syntheses. Used in the synthesis of BACE1 inhibitors used in the treatment of Alzheimer鈥檚 disease. It is also used in cycload dition reactions and the synthesis of fluoromethylsydnones.
