丙酰芸苔索内酯又称为丙酰油菜素内酯是一种植物生长调节剂。丙酰芸苔素内酯对块根作物、土豆和芋头、谷物、玉米、棉花、果实蔬菜、豆类、叶用蔬菜、果树、木本植物、开花植物和经济作物极其有效。
制备
将2.06g(3.70mmol)的2α,3α-二丙酰氧基-24S-乙基-5α-胆甾-22-烯-6-酮(V)溶解在100ml的二氯甲烷中,添加8.0g(31.08mmol)的间氯过氧苯甲酸,并且将混合物在室温下搅拌15天。然后添加8.0g的粉末氢氧化钙,搅拌1小时并过滤,真空蒸馏除去溶剂,并获得粗产物。将该粗产物通过硅胶柱色谱法(苯∶乙酸乙酯30∶1至15∶1)精炼,获得0.85g(39.0%)的(22R,23R,24S)-2α,3α-二丙酰氧基-22,23-环氧-B-高-7-氧杂-5α-豆甾烷-6-酮[化合物(I)],即(1R,3aS,3bS,6aS,8S,9R,10aR,10bS,12aS)-1-[(1S)-1-[(2R,3R)-3-[(1S)-1-乙基-2-甲基丙基]-2-环氧乙烷基]乙基]十六氢-10a,12a-二甲基-8,9-双(1-氧代丙氧基)-6H-苯并[c]茚并[5,4-e]氧杂-6-酮]也就是丙酰芸苔素内酯。

体外研究
Epibrassinolide (EBR) is a biologically active compound of the brassinosteroids, steroid-derived plant growth regulator family. Cells are incubated with various doses (0-100 μM) of Epibrassinolide for 24 or 48 h and cell viability is determined by MTT assay. Epibrassinolide induced cell viability loss in dose- and time-dependent manner compared to untreated samples in LNCaP and DU145 prostate cancer cells. Increasing concentrations of Epibrassinolide is more effective on LNCaP cell viability loss than DU145 cells suggesting that androgen-dependent cells are more sensitive to Epibrassinolide than androgen-independent prostate cancer cells. In further experiments, 25 μM Epibrassinolide is selected due to its moderate cytotoxic effect on both cell lines. The effect of Epibrassinolide treatment is examined on cell proliferation by counting the cell number within 96 h. A higher and earlier inhibition of cell proliferation is observed in LNCaP than DU145 cells.
